The laughter of children filled the front garden of Cheong Wa Dae on May 5.
About 300 children from remote areas of the country or with multicultural backgrounds were invited to a special function in the Nokjiwon Garden of Cheong Wa Dae to mark Children’s Day on May 5. The invited children met with President Park Geun-hye, enjoyed performances and talked about their dreams for the future.

President Park delivered words of encouragement to the youth by saying, “When your dreams come true, a bright future will open, which will guarantee a bright future for the whole country. I hope you can realize your dreams, become important players, and bring hope to the future of the country.”

“In order to realize your dreams, you must know what you are good at, instead of just having vague thoughts,” said President Park. She also told them to grow up healthy and to develop their dreams, all while discovering what they enjoy and what they can do well,
