People who suffer from rhinitis, asthma, eczema or any allergy need to take extra care to remove house dust and mites. This is because house mites are one of the most well-known initiators that can cause many types of respiratory diseases or allergies.
House mites mostly live in moist areas of the house: the bedding, carpets or chairs. They grow while eating either dead skin cells off humans or molds.
People can remove house dust mites by washing or brushing their blankets, but they cannot do this every day. If this is the case, another good way to remove them is to use a dust-busting device.
Raycop is a special vacuum cleaner for blankets and beddings developed in 2007 by the firm Raycop Korea. The name comes from a combination of the words “ray” and “cop,” meaning that it’s a house police officer that can catch house dust mites with its rays. The product has various features that can help to get rid of house dust mites. There are ultra-violet anti-bacterial, vibrating, “punching” and vacuuming functions that allow users to eliminate harmful bacteria in an easy and convenient manner.
Since its release, Raycop has received strong interest from families with young children or with those who suffer from skin or respiratory diseases. It received favorable responses from both Korean and overseas customers.
In 2013, sales at Raycop hit KRW 110 billion, including international exports worth some KRW 30 billion. The same year, it was ranked eight on the list of “best 30 hit products” announced by Japanese monthly magazine Nikkei Trendy, along with other popular hit products such as the iPpod Mini from Apple and Philips’ Airfryer.
Currently, Raycop can be found in about 20 countries, including Japan, mainland China, Indonesia, the Philippines, the U.S. and some European markets.
More information about the device is available at the company’s homepage, (http://www.raycop.kr).
