Traditional Hanbok dresses worn by President Park Geun-hye have attracted the attention of the French people.

An exhibition on Korean fashion opened on Sept. 19 at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. The exhibition is a part of the “Korea Now! Craft, Design, Fashion and Graphic Design in Korea” events that are going on in celebration of the 130 years of diplomatic relations between Seoul and Paris.

The fashion exhibition is composed of five sections, each on one of the symbolic traditional Korean aesthetic colors of blue, red, golden yellow, white and black, and will display a total of about 270 traditional and contemporary articles of Korean attire.

Of special note at the exhibit are some Hanbok pieces that President Park Geun-hye wore during her state visit to the U.K. in 2013 and during her presidential inauguration in February 2013, and they have drawn some attention from the French visitors.

The “Korea Now!” exhibition will continue until January 2016 in Paris.
