U.S. President Donald Trump will make a state visit to Korea on Nov. 7 and have a summit with President Moon Jae-in at Cheong Wa Dae.

This is the first state visit by a U.S. president in 25 years, and is also the first state visit by a foreign leader since the inauguration of the Moon Jae-in administration.

Cheong Wa Dae spokesperson Park Soo-hyun said on Oct. 16 that the two leaders will hold talks following an official welcome ceremony, where they will discuss ways to further enhance the bilateral alliance and cooperation to deal with North Korean nuclear weapons issues. They will also talk about ways to put in place peace and security across Northeast Asia and to strengthen bilateral cooperation on both regional and international issues, the spokesperson said.

President Trump will then speak at the National Assembly of Korea and visit U.S. and Korean members of the military.
