Medical Korea Information Center, a comprehensive facility for foreign patients to receive medical services, has been relocated to Seoul Station.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced on Jan. 21 that it had relocated Medical Korea Information Center from Seoul’s Jongno-gu District to floor B2 of Seoul Station’s Airport Railroad in Cheongparo 378, Yongsan-gu District. The relocation is aimed at enhancing accessibility for foreign patients, whose numbers continue to rise.
Medical Korea Information Center provides medical counseling, interpretation and legal consultations for foreign patients. It not only provides counseling for medical disputes but also helps patients file applications for the Korea Medical Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Agency. Patients can request services either through an on-site visit or a phone call (1577-7129).
Jung Eun-young, director-general of the ministry’s Health Industry Bureau, said, “It is expected that more foreign patients will visit Korea to access Korean health care.”
“We will strive to enhance their convenience and satisfaction.”
The number of foreign patients visiting Korea has steadily increased and eclipsed 600,000 in 2023.
