North Korea has confirmed the participation of its representatives and athletes at the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games.

On Feb. 27, the South Korean representatives, led by Lee Joo-tae, director general of the Inter-Korean Exchange and Cooperation Bureau, and the North Korean representatives, directed by Hwang Chung-song, a senior official at the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Fatherland, held the Pyeongchang Paralympic Working-Level Talks at the Panmunjom Tongilgak pavilion and made a joint press statement afterward concerning the North’s participation in the Winter Paralympics.

The joint press statement covers the sending of the North Korean representatives and athletes to the Paralympic Winter Games. On March 7, the North Korean representatives are expected to enter South Korea by the Gyungui Line land route, and a specific return date will be discussed afterward, according to the agreement.

Finally, the two Koreas agreed to cooperate on detailed working-level matters through the exchange of documents in Panmunjom.
