The fourth Nuclear Security Summit begins in Washington on March 30. During the summit, leaders of countries from around the world and representatives from international organizations will gather to discuss ways to respond to the threat of nuclear terrorism and to cooperate on measures in this regard.

The upcoming summit will be attended by leaders from 52 countries, including the U.S., Japan and China, and chiefs of the four major international organizations, including the U.N. and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). During the summit, President Park will hold on-one-on meetings with the participating heads of state to discuss cooperation measures to resolve the North Korean nuclear weapons issue.

After the summit, President Park will pay an official visit to Mexico from April 2 to 4 and hold summit talks with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto. The two leaders will discuss cooperation measures in order to fully implement resolutions adopted by the U.N. Security Council. The two leaders will also discuss bilateral cooperation, especially in the areas of new economic growth, such as energy, construction of transportation infrastructure, ICT, science, technology and the health and medical sectors.
