President Park Geun-hye will meet her Russian, Chinese and U.S. counterparts during her trips to Russia, China and Laos from Sept. 2 to 9, announced Cheong Wa Dae on Sept. 1.
President Park will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sept. 3 in Vladivostok, Primorsky Krai, on the sidelines of the second Eastern Economic Forum.
During the summit, the two presidents will review the Korea-Russia relationship and how it has fared since their last bilateral summit. They will discuss issues concerning North Korea and its nuclear tests and weapons. The two leaders will cover measures to strengthen the bilateral partnership between the two countries, and cooperative measures to deal with global issues, such as climate change and terrorism.
The Park-Putin summit will be an opportunity to seek a stronger bilateral partnership, particularly under growing provocations from North Korea, including nuclear weapons tests, a long-range ballistic missile launch earlier this year and the most recent submarine-launched ballistic missile test, all of which showed flagrant disregard for United Nations Security Council sanctions, Cheong Wa Dae said.

She will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping, and while in Hangzhou she’s scheduled to hold bilateral summits with leaders from Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Italy.
Finally, the president will head to Vientiane, where the 28th ASEAN summit is scheduled to take place from Sept. 6 to 8. She will hold a summit with U.S. President Barack Obama and talks with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe are under discussion, Cheong Wa Dae said.
