This year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES), to run from Jan. 9-12 as the world’s largest trade fair for household electronics and information and communications technology held in Las Vegas, will feature the biggest Korean Pavilion in the event’s history.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency on Jan. 8 said a record 443 domestic companies and 32 organizations will participate in the pavilion at CES 2024, around three times more than 140 and 14 last year, respectively.

Korean companies taking part in this year’s event will thus account for a whopping 58% of all participants, a huge leap from 19% last year.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups and Seoul Metropolitan Government will also take part in the pavilion for the first time, as will 13 companies that won 2024 CES Innovation Awards in November last year including Mand.ro and Onecom.

The trade ministry said, “By actively utilizing the Republic of Korea’s brand marketing through the Korea Pavilion, we expect higher export results for participating Korean companies.”
