Many department stores across the nation will take part in the Korea Black Friday sale, running from Oct. 1 to 14. During the sale, discounts of up to 80 percent will be available on a range of items, including clothes.
Low-priced, high-quality items will be on sale in early October.
The first two weeks of the month, from Oct. 1 to 14, have been designated as “Korea Black Friday,” the country’s biggest-ever sale that offers shoppers a wide range of discounts on items at 71 department stores, 398 supermarkets, 25,400 convenience stores, 200 traditional markets and online shopping malls across the nation.
During the two-week “Black Friday,” department stores nationwide, including Lotte, Hyundai and Shinsegae department stores, Galleria and AK Plaza will have 30 to 80 percent discounts on many of their fashion brands.
E-mart, a large big box store, will lower prices on more than 100 items by up to 50 percent. Another retailer, Home Plus, will offer discounts of nearly 60 percent off its current listed prices on many daily necessities and on about 3,500 clothing items. Lotte Mart will sell many items at bargain prices, offering up to 30 percent off on many sale items.
