Participants celebrate the start of a countdown clock for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Games in front of Seoul City Hall on Feb. 8

On the evening of Feb. 8, one day before “G-1,” the one-year countdown for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, an unveiling ceremony for the Olympic countdown clock was held at Seoul City Hall.

The ceremony celebrated the “G-1” one-year mark with Vice Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Yu Dong-hun, Omega CEO Raynald Aeschlimann, International Olympic Committee (IOC) Chairperson Gunilla Lindberg, Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon, PyeongChang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (POCOG) President Lee Hee-beom, and Gangwon-do Province Governor Choi Moon-soon.
