Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspur, the first Asian to lead the English Premier League (EPL) in scoring, has received his second nomination for best goal of the season.

The EPL Secretariat on May 25 released its list of 10 players nominated for the Budweiser Goal of the Season including Son, Mohamed Salah of Liverpool, who shared the Golden Boot award for leading goalscorer with the Korean this past season, Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United and Alexandre Lacazette of Arsenal.

The Tottenham striker on May 1 scored on a mid-range blast with his left foot off a pass from teammate Dejan Kulusevski near the penalty box in the 34th minute of the second half against Leicester City in the 35th week of the season.

In the 2019-20 season, the player won the Budweiser award for his incredible score after a 70-m solo run in the 32nd minute of the first half against Burnley in the 16th week. In 2020, this goal also earned him the Puskas Award for best goal at the Best FIFA Football Awards.

The season’s best goal is decided by sports pundits and fan votes. Anyone can vote on the EPL’s official website (https://www.premierleague.com/news/2612176).
