It’s only a week until the Opening Ceremony of the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games, and so far 75 percent of tickets for Olympic events have been sold, and 83 percent of tickets for the Paralympics.

“As the Winter Games are getting closer and closer, ticket sales are growing every day. As of Jan. 31, we sold 799,000 out of 1,070,000 Olympic tickets and 193,000 out of 220,000 Paralympic tickets,” said the PyeongChang Organizing Committee on Feb. 1.

Starting Feb. 1, tickets could be booked both online and offline. Purchasing tickets is also available on-site at ticket offices near Games venues.

Currently, the available tickets are mostly the most expensive ones. To boost tickets sales, the organizing committee is operating a raffle for all audience members that bought a category A or B ticket for figure skating team events, the pair skating short program or the ice dance short dance, or a category A ticket for the freestyle skiing or biathlon. Winners can get a padded vest or a scarf with the Korean national flag on it.

Tickets can be bought at the online store (tickets.pyeongchang2018.com), at the mobile store (mtickets.pyeongchang2018.com) or at offline stores located at Seoul City Hall, at the Gangwon-do provincial offices, at Gangneung City Hall, at Gimpo International Airport, at Incheon International Airport, and at 19 train stations across the country, including Seoul and Yongsan stations. There are also ticket offices at the Gangneung Olympic Park, PyeongChang Olympic Plaza and at each Games venue.
