President Moon Jae-in welcomed six new foreign envoys to Korea during a ceremony at Cheong Wa Dae on Nov. 2.

The president received credentials from each new diplomat. The new ambassadors are: Julian Clare from Ireland, Michael Schwarzinger from Austria, Difie Agyarko Kusi from Ghana, Matilda Masuka from Tanzania, Piotr Ostaszewski from Poland and Olexander Horin from Ukraine.

“I hope to further strengthen bilateral ties with each of the countries represented here today. I appreciate your support for Korea’s stance toward the North Korean nuclear weapons issues, and ask for your continued interest and support, and thorough implementation of U.N. sanctions against North Korea,” said the president.

The president also asked for the countries’ interest in and active participation in the upcoming PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
