In the video contained on the USB stick, students from Bashu Elementary School gave words of greeting to President Park and performed a dance to Korean music. The students showed photos of themselves preparing the gifts for President Park, and clips of their graduation trip and graduation ceremony with messages hand written by students who wished the president good health and good luck.

Yang Ling, a teacher at the school, wrote on the last page of the album that, “President Park, you seem to be so skinny! I hope you can eat well for your health!”

“I always pray for you, Madame President,” she concluded.

The students’ gifts also included letters from Pauline, a friend of Yang. In the letter, Pauline said that she is a truly a big fan of the president.

She wrote that, “I am grateful for the friendly faith that President Park has shown the Chinese people, and that she has traveled to China, showing respect for China and for the Chinese people. I believe that the Chinese people will always remember President Park’s courage and bravery, even after time passes.”

“Even though Seoul-Beijing ties have been experiencing difficulties for some time now, I believe that a friendly, cooperative relationship between the two countries will improve,” said Pauline, while inviting President Park to visit China again at her leisure, just as if she were visiting close friends.
