“Evergreen Tree” is a song that instilled a lot of hope and courage in many Koreans during the 1997-98 Asian financial crisis.
With today, April 19, marking the 60th anniversary of the April 19 Revolution, this song has been reborn as a tune dedicated to medical professionals fighting the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide as well as in Korea. Just as all Koreans united to recover from the financial crisis, this song contains a message of hope to overcome the COVID-19 outbreak.
Sung by a combined 34 musicians from 24 teams, this song is available in eight languages — English, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, French, Italian, German and Spanish. Download it for free from April 21 at noon on Korean music streaming sites such as Bugs, Melon, Genie, Naver Music, FLO and Soribada.
