Mangwon Market near Mangwon Station along subway line No. 6 in Mapo-gu, is popular for its cheap and delicious street food.
TV shows have been known to go there to film celebrities sampling the snack and other foodstuffs on offer at the market. Some of the more famous dishes include chopped noodles(kalguksu), sweet and sour chicken nuggets(dak gangjeong) and deep fried croquette. A bowl of chopped noodles goes for KRW 2,500, and seven flavors of croquette can be enjoyed for KRW 500 each. Pizza flavored croquettes go for KRW 1,000.
