The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), which has produced unique promotional videos attracting popularity both in and out of Korea, has shone its spotlight on Incheon, Pyeongchang-gun County, Gangwon-do Province, and Yeosu, Jeollanam-do Province.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and KTO on May 18 announced the release of three new videos in the “Feel the Rhythm of Korea” series on May 20 at 6 p.m. as part of the nation’s tourism promotional campaign.

Under the theme “Fun City,” the video of Incheon shows rides at Wolmi Theme Park with a retro vibe. With fast-pumping music in the background, the clip also features mud flats in the city’s Ganghwa-gun County and Central Park in Songdo International Business District.

The city houses the nation’s main gateway, Incheon International Airport.

The video of Pyeongchang-gun highlights music tourism resources in the county including the Daegwalryeong International Music Festival and Gyechon Village Classical Street Festival as motifs. As the first lyrical video in the campaign with a piano melody, the clip features a fir tree forest at Woljeongsa Temple, ranches in the township of Daegwallyeong-myeon, and views of Odaecheon Stream and Mitan-myeon Township in an emotional atmosphere.

The county hosted of the 2018 Winter Olympics.

The fast-paced video of Yeosu depicts the busy lives of fishing boat crew heading to sea at dawn and contains images of major tourist attractions such as Hwataedaegyo Bridge before sunrise, Yi Sun-Sin Square and Odongdo Island.

Yeosu is a port city in the southern region of the Korean Peninsula.

Since 2020, the “Feel the Rhythm” series has drawn attention at home and abroad for its videos featuring landmarks in regions across Korea including Seoul, Busan, Mokpo, Jeollanam-do Province, and Seosan, Chungcheongnam-do Province, through unique themes and props.

Pro-tourism videos of dune buggies similar to those seen in the movie “Mad Max” with mudflat cultivators and dancers performing a modern piece to a reinterpretation of traditional Korean music have gone viral.

The KTO’s video of Busan as of May 20 at 1:30 p.m. had 53.21 million views on the state-run authority’s YouTube channel. Others nearing 50 million views are those of Seoul (48.56 million), Mokpo (48.43 million), Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do Province, (48.32 million) and Gangneung, Gangwon-do Province (48.23 million).
